5-Year-Old Hailey Turner Allegedly Hit In Face By Teacher for ‘Tattle-tailing’

5-year-old Hailey Turner was allegedly hit with a ruler across her face by her teacher for tattle tailing on a student and told not to say a word.

When Hailey Turner’s parents got a call from their child’s school,  they were told their daughter was having an allergic reaction.

On getting to the school,  the mom,  Ciara Morgan told The Daily Beast that she was shocked to see the girl’s face was bruised and didn’t appear scratched.

When the Tennessee kindergartner told the parents what happened to her face they were left shocked and angry.

“She said her teacher, identified as Tierra  Smith, hit her and told her not to tell anyone,” Morgan said. “She said she’ll bring her an LOL doll if she doesn’t tell anyone.”

She said Turner revealed that Smith had actually hit her in the face with a ruler after she told on a classmate who wasn’t following the rules during computer time.

“She said the teacher reached into her desk, pulled out a ruler, walked over to her and told her ‘no tattle-tailing’ and popped her,” Morgan claimed her daughter said.

After the investigation by the school authorities,  Smith was only given a two-days suspension and resumed work and Hailey Turner was taken to a different class with no notice from the district.

The family then decided to take Hailey out of Cummings and transfer her to a different school.

“It’s wrong,” she said. “Why does my daughter have to leave her comfort zone? They should have put her in a different school.”

Morgan says the worst part is that Hailey feels guilty.

“She keeps saying, ‘I didn’t want to snitch on her and get her in trouble.’ She felt like she was in the wrong.”
